Collection: LORETTES

Lorette is a 19th century Parisian slang for pretty girl or a girl with loose morals. Radicals in their time, early Impressionists violated the rules of academic painting. In addition to portraying overall visual effects instead of realistic accuracy, they were the first to paint "Lorettes" instead of nobles. This collection is inspired by Lorettes of  impressionists in that it portrays 21st century women in their everyday environment, free of judgement or a false sense of virtue. It is a celebration of independent women who do as they please and reject social pressures.
